Dec 21, 2001 · My 64 Impala SS has developed a high pitched whining, squealing sound, kind of like a "weeeee" sound. Sound is present only when car is moving, with engine running or off, in drive or neutral while coasting and doesnt start until moving about 5 mph. It doesn’t change pitch or loudness with speed.
