My brother has had the Edelbrock system with duals out-the-back on his '90 K1500 RCStepside for several years with no problems. I can't say how loud it is compared to a 50-series Flowmaster, but on his truck it has a pretty good rumble to it. His is the only truck I've ever known to have an Edelbrock on it, though.
