I myself would not push one past 500 flywheel hp because I myself would not trust it. Also they tend to last a little longer if you run main girdles, as the main walk is usually the culprit in a 2 bolt main.

Seen a late model roller block based 347 break. That one made maybe 450 hp. Neither was detonated. Seen other 302 based engine make 500hp, with no issues.
