In the FMS catalog they dyno test them with a 780 cfm Holley, headers, and probably no smog, ac, or ps pump hooked up either. I was thinking of that long block, but choose to go with the one from CCM.
The efficiency of long-tube headers over shorty headers is demonstrated on the dyno with 16 more HP and 16 lb-ft of torque on a mild 351W Ford small-block.

The engine runs a LOT smoother with the 8 stack manifold and Motec(ex-Edelbrock 750 & Performer RPM manifold). It also seems to be considerably quieter, having lost it’s "cam lope".
